The Green Tree symbol which signifies that our Lyreco green product methodology has been applied to the product!
We are proud to be the first company to submit our own brand products to a new very demanding evaluation to provide our clients with more transparency in our products lifecycle. We know that our customers strive for greener workplaces and expect clear information on the environmental impacts on the products they buy from us. That’s why as a responsible partner we provide them with certified green products and are going the extra mile by adapting a new evaluation method of the environmental impact of our own products. The European Product Environmental Footprint: PEF is an operational tool officially recognized by the European Commission, implemented via the Yukan technology platform and verified and certified by an external third party (EY).
So, what’s new with this method? The EU PEF takes into account the full lifecycle of products including the raw materials, manufacturing, packaging, distribution & product end-of-life. Each step is assessed through 16 environmental criteria such as global warming and environmental toxicity. Only once all 16 criteria have been met can the product be classified as EU PEF certified. For our 2020 catalogue we have carefully selected over 10,000 products consisting of some of the most famous worldwide brands such as HP, NESCAFÉ, 3M, Durable, Energizer, Dickies, Tork and many more.
We have taken a real focus on sourcing product ranges which are either recyclable, sustainable or have a low carbon footprint. We have introduced fantastic new ranges such as the Brabantia Bin range which support The Ocean Cleanup; every Newicon pedal bin that is sold Brabantia make a donation supporting the foundation to fulfil its mission – to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. As well as the brand new range of Cheeky Panda tissue which is made from sustainable bamboo instead of trees.
We have also focused on providing more knowledge to our customers through buying guides and overviews on hot topics such as PPE regulations, ergonomics and GDPR to name a few! These will not only help you when making buying decisions but will also help businesses make the right decision for their employees.
One of the biggest changes in the catalogue is that we have more than tripled our range of inks & toners available adding over 3,000 lines. This includes inks & toners from popular brands such as HP, Canon, Brother, Epson, Samsung and Lexmark.
