I joined Lyreco’s Talent Acquisition Team in June 2021 as a Talent Acquisition Business Partner.

I am involved in the strategic planning for the Talent Acquisition team and execute authorised recruitment activities to ensure a quality supply of talent comes into the business.

I also work closely with our Small Medium Business function to help search for the best talent to join their growing team.

I have a real passion for recruitment, helping people transition into a new role and watching them progress in an organisation. I pride myself on building great long-term stakeholder and candidate relationships.

My life outside of work:
I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children. I enjoy playing golf; I have recently started taking golf lessons so that I can play against my husband and stand a chance of beating him!

After being headhunted in September 2020, I joined the Lyreco People & Culture Team as an Administrator. After being successful in the role, I was promoted to a Talent Acquisition Specialist in June 2021.

I am currently working to develop my skillset to become a successful member of the Talent Acquisition team!

I enjoy participating in outdoor activities such as skiing and snowboarding, playing musical instruments and pursuing HR development opportunities.

I place a strong emphasis on a value-driven organisation, and I feel that Lyreco reflects these values for me!

I joined Lyreco in 2019 as a Regional Account Manager for the Nespresso Professional team in the North East. I love being able to help businesses enhance well-being in the workplace, whilst adding value to their business with sustainable premium coffee solutions.

My role is very engaging and there is never a dull day because I am always meeting new people from businesses across various sectors. I love that I can give companies a great experience by hosting Nespresso Professional coffee mornings at their workplace to enable decision-makers and their colleagues to taste our delicious coffee and see our machines in action for themselves.

I also work to attract new business and take care of my existing accounts, which I like to do because I can visit customers and ensure they are always well looked after and have everything they need.

In my spare time, I love to being outdoors, whether that is camping at the Lake District, climbing a peak or coastal walks. I have lived in Cornwall for three years, and I absolutely love the sea. I also enjoy spending time at the beach, going surfing, and kayaking with friends and family.

My job really allows me to change peoples’ lives – other than getting married or buying a house, there are a few things that have a significant impact on an individual and their loved ones than landing a great job! ​

Our team works hard to ensure that we always provide a good recruitment experience to our candidates; there’s nothing better than calling our candidates and telling them they have been successful. ​

What’s more, I also love how environmentally conscious we are as a business; when I am not recruiting, I take care of the Lyreco bees that we keep at the Telford Head Office. ​

My life outside of work​

I am the Town Mayor in the town of Much Wenlock. I also live on a farm with my American wife Sara, our cats Archie and Ginger, and our very own bees.

I joined Lyreco UK & Ireland through the Business Graduate Scheme in 2019; in October 2020, I had the opportunity to take on a permanent position and join the Talent Acquisition team.​

​Every day is different, and I can learn whilst on the job, which is what I love most about Lyreco. A ‘snapshot’ of my day-to-day role includes working on a range of projects to achieve our overall recruiting objectives and the exciting prospect of recruiting for top talent to join our growing team.​

​I thrive off building a strong rapport with candidates and being a part of their journey through the recruitment process. I particularly enjoy getting to see talented individuals prosper into their new roles at Lyreco. ​

​My life outside of work​

​My greatest passion is rowing; I have competed at a professional level and have achieved a silver medal at the English and Welsh Championships respectively. In 2020, I also competed in the World Indoor Rowing Championships.

I joined Lyreco in 2018 as part of the Lyreco graduate scheme; I spent my first 18 months working in different departments and had the opportunity to get involved in many projects.​

In 2020, I received a promotion to my current position as a Business Development Manager for the Corporate division. My role is hybrid and focuses on growing Lyreco’s hygiene category and identifying new business opportunities and supporting existing customers from a hygiene perspective.​

I also work with our customers to establish the most suitable cleaning and hygiene solutions to help keep their employees and clients safe.​

Lyreco is a great company to work for; the training and support that I have received since joining has been far beyond what I would have expected. I have met some great people during the time I spent across different parts of the business, and even through these unprecedented times, Lyreco has continued to put its people first.​

Away from work, I am very much into my sports; in the winter I play rugby for Newport RUFC, and in the summer, I play cricket for Wellington CC. I have played at Wellington for the best part of two decades; the club has a great social side, with lots of events throughout the year for me to get involved in.​

My journey at Lyreco started in 2016 within the Customer Service team; since then, I have had the opportunity to work in various departments around the business, including Accounts, Finance, and my current role as an Inside Sales Representative. ​

I look after 1,300 Mid-Market Customer Accounts and work alongside 10 Business Development Managers. Every day is a learning day and a fun day, especially when team leaders and managers get involved. ​

Our promotion days are great opportunities for the sales teams, not just to have fun and increase sales and banter in the office, but to offer great supplies to customers and get a chance to win some fantastic prizes! ​

Lyreco is a great believer in helping you to achieve your goal in life; they will do their utmost to ensure this happens for you. The company is currently providing additional support in my Sales journey to fulfil my dream goal to become a Business Development Manager. ​

In my spare time, I appreciate the time spent with my family on our adventure walks or visiting my favourite place, the Zoo! I also enjoy taking part in dancing, running, and yoga activities. ​

I joined Lyreco over a decade ago and have since received three promotions and taken two maternity leave breaks in between.​

I have been in the role of a Business Development Manager – PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) since 2018; I mainly work alongside the Small Medium Business and Mid-market customers to help them find suitable product ranges for their PPE requirements and workwear solutions. I thoroughly enjoy my role because I know that I am making a true difference and positive impact by helping businesses to create a safer workplace for their employees. ​

Reflecting on my personal experience, Lyreco is a great company to work for. The Senior Management Team has always supported my personal and professional development – getting the help and support I need has always been a phone call or email away. ​

I am really proud to be a part of a company that not only cares for its people but also contributes to sustainability and giving back to the community. ​

I love to spend time with my family planning holidays, exploring and visiting my family in India; I have recently travelled to Portugal, Spain, and the USA. I enjoy hiking and walking across beauty spots in the UK and soaking in the tranquillity. I also like to cook Indian cuisine, host parties and have feasts for festivals such as Diwali, with my speciality being Tandoori Chicken! ​

After completing my degree and masters in Human Resources, I have worked in Human Resources for over 20 years. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (MCIPD) and committed to my personal development through continuous business improvement. ​

My role involves line management of the Talent Acquisition Team and People Advisors to ensure that we are recruiting the best talent into the business and provide a proactive, efficient and professional generalist People & Culture service to our people. We are constantly reviewing our processes and procedures to ensure that we are providing our people and the business with the best service and achieving best practice. ​

I love being a mummy to my identical twin daughters, spoiling, and sharing new life experiences with them. We love to travel and attend events with our family and friends both at home and abroad.
